and distributed by the Grace project from a third-party source.

One CCEL work is small enough to ship BUNDLED in the application
(``src/grace/data/books/``) rather than as a download:

jasher.sqlite The Book of Jasher (Sefer haYashar), 1840 English
                    translation — a 91-chapter pseudepigraphal narrative.
Public Domain; source work "jasher" from CCEL,

Some volumes CCEL did not transcribe to text — most notably the
Ante-Nicene Fathers Volume 10 general index — are reproduced from
CCEL's public-domain page-scan images (PNG), bundled inside the
corpus .sqlite (an ``assets`` table) and shown inline in the reader.
These scans are public domain on the same basis as the text.

Attribution is not legally required for Public-Domain works, but CCEL
is credited here and in the in-app Books panel's source metadata for
providing the digital text and page scans.

Each file's verbatim licence text lives in its own
``meta.copyright_statement`` column; the importer preserves that
licence into ``sources.license`` at install time.

Acknowledgement: the SQLite repackaging of these public-domain texts
is provided by Bible SuperSearch (https://biblesupersearch.com) as
the ``bibles_sqlite_6.0`` pack. See the Phase 12.1 section below for
the pack-level readme statement and the licence-policy posture for
share-alike pack files.

================================================================================
PHASE 12.1 — BIBLE SUPERSEARCH SQLITE PACK (OPTIONAL)
  Added in Grace v0.2.2 (Phase 12.1 / P12.1-07). A user-supplied pack
of ~100 SQLite Bible files (bibles_sqlite_6.0). Grace INGESTS these
files into the user's local database; it does NOT redistribute the
binaries. The attribution below applies to any distribution that
chooses to ship the upstream pack alongside the application.

Bible SuperSearch Bible Export (SQLite pack)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: https://biblesupersearch.com
Pack readme: "Bible SuperSearch Bible Export — SQLite" (bibles_sqlite_6.0).
Pack licence: The pack-level readme states the files are "legally
shareable and reshareable for non-commercial purposes."
Each individual SQLite carries its OWN per-file licence
in the meta.copyright_statement column; the importer
               preserves that licence verbatim into
               sources.license.

Per-file licence inventory (v6.0, Strong's-bearing subset):

kjv_strongs.sqlite Public Domain (UK: perpetual Crown copyright)
  asvs.sqlite Public Domain
  rv_1909_strongs.sqlite Public Domain
  trparsed.sqlite Public Domain
  chinese_union_simp_s.sqlite Public Domain
  chinese_union_trad_s.sqlite Public Domain

Non-Strong's files in the same pack that the Grace importer does NOT
claim (they route to the generic Scrollmapper importer):

  ckjv_sds.sqlite / ckjv_sdt.sqlite CC BY-SA 3.0 Unported
  (Share-alike licences trigger LicenseConsentRequired in
   grace.core.license_policy before import.)

Grace posture:

  * The importer is LOCAL-ONLY: no download URL, no network traffic
at any point (Phase 12.1 Q7=a).
  * The pack is NOT bundled with the Grace release binaries.
  * Per-file licence text is displayed verbatim in the source-row
    tooltip + About panel.
  * Share-alike content routes through a one-line consent gate; see
    grace.core.license_policy.

NOTE: python-magic is a thin Python wrapper. It REQUIRES the system
`libmagic` library (BSD/MIT depending on platform packaging) to be present
at runtime. On Linux/macOS this is part of the OS or trivially installable
(`apt install libmagic1`, `brew install libmagic`). On Windows we use
`python-magic-bin` (below) which bundles libmagic.dll.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
python-magic-bin — MIT License + bundled libmagic (BSD)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

python-magic-bin is python-magic packaged with a precompiled libmagic.dll
for Windows. The Python wrapper is MIT (see python-magic above). The
bundled libmagic.dll is licensed as follows:

LibreOffice (external dependency, NOT bundled) — MPL-2.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LibreOffice is invoked by Grace as an external subprocess
(`soffice --headless --convert-to ...`) for format conversion and as the
preferred external editor for ODT/DOCX content. Grace does NOT bundle,
modify, or redistribute LibreOffice or any of its source files.

Because no linking and no redistribution occurs, MPL-2.0's file-level
copyleft is not triggered for Grace. We list it here for transparency only.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KJV Apocrypha (1769) — Public Domain
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: https://crosswire.org/sword/modules/ModInfo.jsp?modName=KJVA
Files used: src/grace/data/bibles/kjv_apocrypha.sqlite — 15 deutero-
canonical books extracted from CrossWire's KJVA SWORD
               module via pysword's `clean=True` extractor.

The KJVA module's `DistributionLicense=GPL` line tags the OSIS / Strong's
overlay shipped by CrossWire, NOT the underlying KJV verse text. The
extracted SQLite contains only public-domain verse text; the OSIS markup
and Strong's tagging are stripped at build time and do not ship.

The KJV text itself is in the Public Domain in most parts of the world.
In the United Kingdom the KJV is under perpetual Crown copyright.

The KJVA About section published by CrossWire grants:
"Any copyright that might be obtained for this effort is held by
CrossWire Bible Society © 2003-2023 and CrossWire Bible Society
hereby grants a general public license to use this text for any
purpose."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DataWar Webster Dictionaries — MIT (packaging) + Public Domain (text)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: https://github.com/DataWar/1828-dictionary

  webster1828.sqlite bundled (~46 MB; 63,000+ headwords)
  webster1844.sqlite bundled (~36 MB; 82,764 entries)
  webster1913.sqlite downloadable via Downloads → Dictionaries…

DataWar's MIT-licensed SQL repackaging covers the dump format. The
underlying dictionary text is Public Domain — Noah Webster died 1843;
G. & C. Merriam Co. published the 1913 edition of which all
copyright has long since expired.

See the Phase 12.3 section above for the full MIT licence text and
the verbatim attribution required by the MIT licence.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bible SuperSearch SQLite Pack — Public Domain (per-file)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: https://biblesupersearch.com/
Pack name: bibles_sqlite_6.0

See the Phase 12.1 section above for the full pack licence statement
and the per-file attribution model. Each individual SQLite carries its
OWN per-file licence in the meta.copyright_statement column; the
importer preserves that licence verbatim into sources.license.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
scrollmapper bible_databases — Public Domain
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: https://github.com/scrollmapper/bible_databases
Files used: src/grace/data/bundled/KJV.db (the canonical bundled
King James Version that the first-run wizard imports
               by default).

scrollmapper's bible_databases repository aggregates public-domain
Bible texts in SQLite form. The KJV text inside KJV.db is in the
Public Domain in most parts of the world (United Kingdom: perpetual
Crown copyright). The repository itself carries no additional licence
restriction beyond the underlying texts.

PySide6 (Qt for Python) — LGPL-3.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: https://www.qt.io/qt-for-python
Pinned to: 6.8.3 (per pyproject.toml)
Linkage: Dynamic only — Grace links against PySide6 + Qt 6
at runtime via standard Python import. No static
               linking, no Qt source modification.

PySide6 is dual-licensed under LGPL-3.0 / commercial. Grace uses
the LGPL-3.0 grant. The LGPL-3.0 file-level requirements are met by:
  * Dynamic linking only (LGPL-3.0 §4(d) compliant).
  * Shipping the LGPL-3.0 licence text (this file).
  * Allowing the user to replace PySide6 / Qt 6 with a modified
version — Grace's wrapper at /usr/bin/grace-b2u uses the system
PySide6 from apt, which the user controls.

The full LGPL-3.0 text is reproduced at:
  https://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl-3.0.html

Qt 6 itself is also LGPL-3.0; it ships as a transitive runtime
dependency through PySide6 and is subject to the same conditions.
